For the 140th Anniversary of St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Exempla Healthcare wanted to make a splash in the daily papers. They commissioned several images for their 8-page Business Journal slick insert that day, but the cover was the most fun to create.
The challenge was to show a colorful celebration amidst construction of their new, state-of-the-art hospital building. The designer cobbled together stock shots of models, confetti, construction, etc., until this concept was born. “Keep the cranes in!” were my marching orders.
Getting the cranes to face the right angle was the tricky part.
